Bruce Van and his wife LaDon went into full-time ministry in 1995. They both felt a call on their lives later in their marriage and followed the call of God where they moved their family to Lakeland, FL in August 1991 to begin classes at Southeastern College. Bruce had a teaching degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL where he graduated in 1974. Bruce attended Southeastern College and graduated in 1994 with a B.A degree in Bible Concentration and a minor in Theology. He also, received his License to Preach from the Assemblies of God in 1996.

After college they took a position at Seminole Assembly of God as Youth Pastors. In 1996 they joined the staff at First Assembly of God in Clearwater. Bruce currently serves as an Associate Pastor over the Hospitality and Service Ministry and he is also the church bookkeeper. LaDon works in the church office and has various responsibilities.

Bruce and LaDon were married July 19, 1975. They have 2 daughters, Lisa, teaches PE at Ridgecrest Elementary School and Traci, is a fourth grade teacher at Skycrest Elementary. Both daughters are very involved in several ministries at First Assembly, Clearwater.
